Born and raised in the St. Louis area, Jasmine has been playing the violin since the age of 5, starting at the Suzuki program in Edwardsville, IL. There, her skills and talents were developed, allowing Jasmine to perform outside of the country with the Edwardsville Suzuki Tour Group numerous times, sparking a new found love for traveling, and ultimately, her love for music.

Past, Present, and Future

After time spent in the Suzuki Program, Jasmine auditioned for and performed in the St. Louis Symphony Youth Orchestra for six years. She was also a part of Webster University’s College Preparatory Program, allowing students to perform in various ensembles as well as learning music theory and ear training. She has been blessed to perform in masterclasses with Gil Shaham and Leila Josefowicz. Private teachers include principal second violinist Alison Harney, and first section violinists Joo Kim and Ann Fink, all of the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. Jasmine attended Indiana University Jacob School of Music in Bloomington, IN on a scholarship for violin performance, but finished earning a degree in Music Therapy at Maryville University in St. Louis, MO.

In 2019 Jasmine was the full time Music Therapist at McKnight Place Extended Care in Clayton, MO, and from 2020 to 2024 she was the full time music therapist for Heartland Hospice in Fairview Heights, IL. Jasmine welcomed her and her husbands’ first daughter in October of 2023 and she is currently available for wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours, album recordings, worship services, and other gigs.

Jasmine is an INCREDIBLE violinist with a beautiful heart. She played for the opening aria on my senior recital in undergrad and she blew me away with her preparation, attention to detail, and her musicianship. I recommend Jasmine for all of your musical needs — whether collaboration or performance.
